Utterly amazing collection - and not dusty either, so you know he loved his "stuff". I'm surprised that with his automobilia and petrolania that there are no cars. Perhaps they're being sold separately or there weren't any. Somebody on the HAMB must know this person.

No cars? That sticks out like a sore thumb, they gotta be somewhere ...................

  3. There are cars in the pictures. Maybe family members are keeping them?

I'd load up and run over there if I thought there was a chance I could bid high enough to get the air compressor. My shop needs that unit,

It's probably the first time I've seen a gent who doesn't just collect one brand of oil and service station items but actually has several very nice collections all in one. you guys would be sorting through my junk if I brought any more "collectable" stuff home as she who rules would use my favorite shot gun on me.

That's going to be a long auction! I'm into oil cans so I'll be there.

That will be a all day event, hope a HAMB member can post a full report with some photos. Wonder if all the items are in a catalog, or will they just start with item or lot one and move along untill it it all sold. Bob

I was all bark and no bite. When it came time I decided to spend the money on parts over oil cans.

I flew in that weekend for my sons birthday so I had to attend.
I came away with a serious rear hub puller and yes the cars are going to be sold at a later date

Oh, well..... doesn't sound like I missed much. Bit of a drive for me.... so I ditched at the last minute. I need parts for 3 projects....so no oil cans for me either .

I did consider going up to see if there was anything I could quick flip.

to be clear, which auction are you referring to. (what date). I checked the original link and it was for mostly tools, a few shop trucks etc... I must be missing something.

The second link with better pictures does show some better stuff

They are now using that link for a different auction. It was a wild collection of automobilia and antiques.

It is a different auction, They don't have the results for that auction posted in their results page yet either though. I'm thinking that a few things at the top of this page were in that auction though http://www.stokesauction.com/prices.htm The rest of it looks to be from several different auctions.

It looks like the air compressor that I was interested in went for 650.00 which isn't too bad for that unit.

People apparently don't feel the need to read thru an entire thread
