Well this is my first A build, drug it home with a freshly built 56 y block to go with it[IMG][/IMG].Set it out in the drive to get a pic[IMG][/IMG].I put it away for awhile while I finished my roadster.I had a 41 sedan that I drug out of a farmers field and got [IMG][/IMG]to looking at the frame.Decided to use it as the base for the A.Took the frame apart, set it up on the table and contured the rails to fit the body and put the X member back in.Copy.jpg[/IMG][/IMG]The body was missing the subrails so with it all braced up I got some bits of original subrails and started to piece it back together.[IMG][/IMG]. Pain in the ass,but well worth it.[IMG][/IMG]Did some more work on trans tunnel and firewall and got the cross sills in.The doors at this point were working good so time to fit it to the frame.[IMG][/IMG].Tried to match the shape of the firewall recess to the shape of the cowl,I'm happy with the results.[IMG][/IMG]

Fast forward after patching the whole bottom of the body, made my own patches. My idea is to match the body to the frame sweep.[IMG][/IMG] The door is my last piece left to do.I have gotten alot done on the chassis lately ,so now she was ready to role out of the garage.[IMG][/IMG] Put the body on to get an idea what its gonna look like.[IMG][/IMG]I'm happy with the look,so far.Alot of work left still, got a34 chevy dash to graft in,an original seat frame to install.Parts list, eldebrock 3 x 2,58 ford 9" dutchman axles,og ramhorns,40 ford wheels 7.50 x 16 rear 4.50 x 16 front ,t5 trans adapted to truck bell.Vega box,46 stock axle ,46 lincoln front brakes,39 steering wheel .

I never thought that frame would look good under an A, but that looks sweet. Are planning a haircut?

Definitely digging your coupe build, and the roadster looks great, too.

I once shortened, narrowed, and pinched a 46 Ford frame to fit under a Model T coupe I was building. A lot of work, but it does end up looking pretty good, and I had the frame anyways.

The frame does look nice under there and a chop would tie it all together!

X 2.
A guy here in Oz used the chassis rails from the cowl back and fabricated a set of rails for up front to put under a 28RPU here a few years ago. I don't think the car has been finished yet.
