Been waiting for these,, I am borderline speechless at your ability to bring out the caricature of a vehicle through your lenses,,

Thanks Dick. I do sleep, I am just trying desperately to get these posted without taking forever. Thanks so much for your continued support and comments.

Thanks Outback. If you want to get caught up on everything I have had in past threads, and a whole lot more that I haven't done threads on, please go to http://www.pbase.com/dlgphoto/carevent. There is a slide show link on the top right of each gallery.

I am never sure if a car like this is HAMB friendly or not, but it was pretty cool, so here it is.

I found a photo of this car on another LSRU site and wondered if you had a photo of it in your "To Do" stack .....

It was identified as a 60 Merc but I'm wondering if it was a Canadian version since it doesn't look anything like what I remember a 60 Merc looked like. I also wondered if anyone has a photo of the rear end.

I'm also wondering if we'll get to see more of your photos here soon.

I never even saw that, but wish I did. It definitely has the body of an 1960 Ford Galaxie Starliner - at least an American one. A 60 American Merc looks a lot different. Maybe in Canada, they were just Fords with different trim.

I'm think it's a '60 Meteor, the Canadian version of Ford. I shot a somewhat plain version of that car at this year's show and will try to get it posted to my coverage thread.

You have posted some great shots so far, Dan. Keep 'em coming.

That sedan is not traditional in any sense of the term, if that helps.

    Dan...

I believe it was in 1970 that the U.S. & Canada opened up a "free trade" agreement...wherein the Fords/Mercs produced there could be the same as they were in the U.S.

Before that "Meteors", etc., were mixed-parts models, and looked different due to the nature of the agreements in place. (This may be an actual Canadian-built FoMoCo, or, they could have used a Meteor grille.)

I remember, in 1957, while in Monterey, Mexico, seeing the same thing with Plymouth's, Dodge's, etc., looking "weird" for the same reason. Different grilles, same taillights, etc...blew my mind !

BTW: Thanks for the great pix !

Yes, it is a Canadian meteor, Same as a Ford except for trim.
These were sold by Mercury dealers in Canada. They also sold the normal Mercurys that you would be familier with.

Thanks Johnny - next time feel free to come and say hi anyway.

You're welcome and thanks. Not to worry - there are plenty more.

Thanks Jonnie King, Tom and b-bob for info on the Meteor and also for your welcome comments.

Thanks also Sergio (33Tudor) and Jim - I am glad you found the pictures of your cars and that you like them.

I will try to get more of them up here ASAP. They just take time along with all the other interruptions caused by regular work and getting other people's picture orders handled. A lot of times I do 2 or 3 or more versions of a picture before I arrive at one I think is decent. Hence the reason it goes so slow.

Just to give you an example of why these go so slowly sometimes, here is a before and after example of a picture. I am not sure I am entirely done with the after yet. I made a few other versions as well.

    So this:

    becomes this:
