I have a 6V 4cyl sending unit and tach but no battery. The tach repair guys don't work on 6V. Any ideas> How many volts was a Mercury Cell 1766-7 replacement battery?

    Any ideas?

Do you have the original battery? Batteries Plus is good at building replacement batteries for obscure configurations. They can usually match your existing battery fairly closely.

Search the HAMB for Sun Tach threads. There is info on modern replacement batteries. The mercury batteries originally used in Sun Tachs have not been made for a long time.
