    That's Mercury Charlie's daily driver, if I'm not mistaken. It was parked behind Nadine at the show, behind his booth.

    You can see it behind Nadine in this picture..

    I enjoy Ollin's show reviews cause we have very similar taste.

    Love the "stocker" Merc, sure don't see many of those!

  9. Pretty sure it has something to do with the old saying "don't ask a man where he's from...if he's from Texas - he'll tell you; if he ain't - well, you don't want to embarrass him."

    A lot of us like to 'advertise' our pride with some Texas accoutrements on our cars :D

    Nice, looks like we dig alot of the same stuff. I was stoked to see a picture of my old Chevy...about that Texas flair thing, I know what you mean.

    dude, relax. dont make this thread a drama thread. like y'all say, "I was just funnin' you." and PS, I know Nudie was based outta los Angeles ;)
    I love Austin, and would actually consider moving there someday. You all really go the extra mile. and Just because Im from Los Angeles doesn't mean I'm a movie star or a hippy. haha

    Like Ryan said in the JJ post, as with any car show there are gonna be cars that dont belong, but I didnt' take pics because I dont care for them.

    ;;;;;Now back to our regularly scheduled program;;;;;

    I couldn't take my eyes off of this custom 57 caddy. I sold a nice one a few years ago, and this makes me regret it!!

    I really dug your car. I used to own a 50 chevy coupe that was originally that dark green color when I got it.
    I saw a bunch of cool 49-52's on this trip both at the show and in junk yards along the way. Makes me get the itch to look for another one!
    You Gotta watch out for those flair-ups!

    Right on ! Keep your eye out for it next year, I still have alot planned. It will stay close to the same color when all is said and done. If you make it out stop by and say hello, and grab a cold drink. We dont see many real life Yankee's round these parts ;)

    The Caddy belongs to El Jefe here on the HAMB. He is one of the founders of the show and owner of ground zero for cool here in Austin, the world famous "Continental Club". (another great show, Steve-o, THANK YOU)
    I think he and Ryan are going by the moniker "The Borrani Boyz" these days................;)

  25. Glad you finally made it. The LSR is one great experience. I remember our first trip to it. That was when it was still under the I-35 bridge on the river. When my wife and walked up to the entry gate we thought for sure that we had come to the wrong place. We had never seen people with so many tatoos, weired hair doo's and hair colors and holy crap, there were people from Norway, Sweden and othe countries there. We thought,,WTF? Then we went in and saw all the cool cars and started meeting these people. Wow, very nice and cool people. They just had weired taste for their skin, but who am I to compare. It's their skin. Besides some of these people were really really really talented and many have become close friends.
