Long time reader of the HAMB. Interesting information, ideas, and of course cars from around the world. Anyway, been an avid car lover before I could walk getting to those car shows and swap meets on my father's back. Love all types of cars from those French Coach Built cars to muscle cars to the good old flatheads.... My father is a Ford guy with TBirds, Flatheads, Mustangs, etc. I have owned 1966 Chevelle, 1960 Impala, 1963 Impala, 1970 Monte Carlo, 1966 Ford Truck, 1964 Ford Fairlane Sport Coupe, but my true love now is my 1939 Coachcraft Mercury (now restored) which I bought back in 1986 when I was 17 years old, and my 1932 Ford Roadster (still in many pieces) that I got for my 16th Birthday back in 1985. Anyway, hope to post more soon!!!!
Back at you, I've just signed up from Ventura, too. I have a couple of European projects, came here for the great inspiration. I saw your car at the VRSCC show last summer, how do I join that club?
Click on the following link, it includes some phone numbers of the guys who started the club and organized the event: http://www.mossmotors.com/graphics/products/pdf/VenturaMotorsportsGathering_entryform.pdf
Derby.. Great to see you online and glad you joined up. Nice Avatar of your car too! For those of you who don't know, Derby's car is very very special. Back in 2007, Ken Gross identified it as one of the top 10 barn finds (and you know how we all drool over barn finds....too much fun). Here's one of the stories: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Columns/articleId=123783 And here are some other links about his car and story: http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/your_garage/cars/8829.shtml http://www.rikhovingkustoms.com/RHK1/CCPlannete39Merc.html Great to see you Derby... Welcome from North Texas. Killer Merc! What a great father to let you buy it and then let you keep it 20 years. Simply amazing.
