Why do you not use a picture of your car as your aviator?

<--------------This was my FIRST car, bought for $35 in 1966 when I was 15. That was 47 yrs. ago. Wish I still had it.

 

I did use a picture of my car but can not remember why

 

My 62 C10 is far from done, but I decided to update my avatar anyway - since I love my grandkids and I have this great pic of them in the garage hanging with me.

I change "MY" avatar often, want to see my cars look in my albums.

 

My wife drives the aviator, so I just use a picture of this old thing.

 

Just to piss people off..............

Oh, and my aviator? Every good Medic had his own AME chopper', they came with Aviators they were the guys that chauffeured us around the sky's.

My wife thinks I'm on a porno forum with the ass and boob avatars. She's pretty sure HAMB stands for ass and boob something.

And my avatar reflects my personality far more than a photo of an O/T Chevy II ever would....

 

I once had a picture of my truck, a fender less '41 Ford, and it caused a shitstorm. It was actually quite entertaining for me to see how a picture of someone else's vehicle could get some guys panties in such a tight knot. my other car, a 46 Chevy coupe would need a wheel change for the cool guys to like it. So until I get an "acceptable" ride I won't have an avatar.

 

Man...funny stuff, guys. Thanks for the laughs...lol. I don't think the answers were exactly what Moon Rocket was looking for...but much MUCH better than a bunch of serious stirred-up shit.

This is one of the first things I noticed about the Hamb when I first joined. I thought to myself, wow...collectively, these guys can be clever MFs and pretty damn funny...lol.

 

my avatar is my car. I am a cartoon as well.

 

Several cars, past and present so our logo just blankets them all. I do agree, there are some really clever avitars though, really intertaining.

 

mine is a pic of me... why hide behind anonymity?

 

My avatar is kind of what I'm going for with my speedster.

I don't have an aviator, but music is my aeroplane (thank you, Red Hot Chili Peppers) !

 

I like to change mine depending on my current "ride".
