So about 3 months ago I get a wild hair and want to start something new, well after many hours online and talking with different car owners I found a car that I thought was unique and still pretty solid.......or I thought.

What I found was a 1960 Ford Fairlane 2 door post with a "rebuilt" 352. Getting this thing out of the guys yard was not that easy, it took breaking the drums loose, rebuilding the carb and getting some new rubber on her. But for the most part it I dont thing it was too bad of a start. As of right now I am dealing with ordering new Drums all the way around for her. This will require alot of hard work and time and of course, some blood and tears, but worth it in the end.

Lucy at the house! After sitting for a year in a yard not going anywhere she was happy to get on the road from point A to B.

Looks like a nice 60. Look forward to seeing what you do to it.

Up date on the 1960, got ready for the Round Up and alot of things came out of nowhere but was at least able to rebuild the front and lower her some with new springs. Still working on painting the inside of the car and getting ready for some other shows.

I am jealous, I love the 1960 Fords! Did you use the Aerostar coils?? Also, are you going to do the shims yourself as far as camber goes? If so, let me know how many degrees you went so I can do somewhere in the same range on my Edsel.

My father bought a 1960 4 door Fairlane when I was a kid, I ended up with it in high school. The trunk was enormous. I remember it as a pretty roomy car. Have fun with a good looking relic of the fin age!

Quick trivia - the '60 is the widest car Ford ever made.

A really cool and rare car that will look great lowered!

    Hmm?? A 'plain-Jane' '60 Fairlane,
    2 dr.sedan with a 352 FE already
under the hood from the factory?
    That screams 'early-to-mid-'60's'-
style street racer "sleeper" to me!
I can hear it calling all the way from
    here even ....it's crying out....begging
    even.....for a 4-speed stick....some
4.57 gears in the back end....;spinning
    a pair of aired-down 9.00 X15 Atlas
Bucrons or some 9-inch M&H cheater
slicks ....on steelies with dog dish hub
    caps...and a nasty-bad roller-cammed,
dual-quad 427 MR under the hood!! Oh
    yeah!!! :D

Yeah I used a pair of Aerostar springs for the front, still need to put in new shocks and put the lowering blocks in the back. 61unib100 I am going to do the camber next tuesday, once I am finished I will post how many it took and the degrees. Jalopy Joker haha yeah I have a four barrel and rebuilt heads with a little magic in it and it hauls ass!

I am going to run shorter shocks in the front and I will see what needs to be done with the back when I maybe lower the back, but I am loving the sleeper kinda look

Richard D That is what I am trying to shoot for, after I had the heads built I could feel the motor wake up alot more so instead of building a 390 like most people do, I am going to stay with the 352 and squeeze what I can out of her.

I love the 60's Fords. Very cool and you don't see many around. That'll be one nice cruiser.
