So after changing my rear air shocks to regular gas shocks, my tire didn't have the clearance I wanted so I decided to cut them bigger. Instead of just cutting them, I also welded in a 3/8" rod on the inside of the rear fender to give it a finshed wheel lip and to give it some strength. The rod definitly adds some serious strength. Just doing the drivers side for now while waiting for the snow to melt. Over the summer I plan on doing the other side. This is my first real expereince with metal working/body work. Trying my best but I owe a thanks to Mr.348 for heating and shrinking help and the tips and tricks of bodywork. Thought I would post this since there isn't alot of pics of 40-48 Pontiac's and Chevy's with the wheel wells cut out.
