Not by me, I might add...I bought the wreck and realised it was beyond my skill level..but the new owners brought it to the finished article above.

This is my truck in August of 2011 when I brought it home...

She was pretty rough, but looking at some of the others, it looks like just about all can be saved.. :)

  7. Some of you started with pretty nice stuff,,others make me think you really gotta be nuts!.

After seeing some my wagon was not as bad as I originally thought,,it only took 107 patch panels! HRP

Not as some posted but worse than others. I started with what I thought was a fairly complete and solid car, it was fairly complete but it was rusted beyond repair. I did get another body and frame but the body still needs a lot of work

  9. My only regret, I had a choice between this an a 56 BelAir H.T. The 56 was cut up to fit a dune buggy style, tube chassis. So most of the firewall and floorboards were gone. I was intimidated by it, and the 57 was the lesser evil.. so I thought. The trunk lid wouldn't close, because the fin was bent over. Dad shrunk everything back into place. I was amazed. I didn't take a picture of the fin, cos I was embarrassed at the time. Sheesh

Not nearly as rough as some of the other stuff, body was ok but the way the motor and trans were put in was horrible....along with the 4" lift I found it had in the rear when I got tires on it!

I bought a (non-hamb friendly) wrecked corvette while it was on a lift at a frame shop. It was delivered to the bodyshop the next day. As I drove down the street, I thought, good god, call the police, there has been a terrible wreck...then I realized it was my car left on the side of the street. Yes it was that bad. Nothing left of it.

The car was driven off a bridge, landed top down in a creek and dragged out upside down.

When it was done, it was the nicest car I ever owned.

One year build with a 27 Chrysler four door body mated to a 29 Ford Briggs cowling, running a Ford 300 six with dual four intake with twin Holly carbs spinning a 3 speed manual trans to a Ford 8 inch rear. This thing can run all day at 70 mph with no issues..... This car really gets attention where ever it goes.
