I could image a '58 Edsel grill stuffed in between the headlight pods.

What a great thread and some cool cars. This one has been on the HAMB before, but it fits this thread. It was built from a 38 dodge truck, 56 new yorker 4 door rear section narrowed 15 inches, 51 buick 4 door dash narrowed 12 inches, and a modified 38 ford frame. Some early versions shots and now with a little more horsepower.

Yep, same car. I never did get a picture of it after it was all pretty. Every time I saw it, I didn't have the camera with me. The pictures I have are from the Hunnert Car Pile-Up back in 2005.

  17. I used to think about using an X-19 Fiat body as a start, front engine with a blower, tires outside the body

That sure would be an interesting build. i can see the apache hood and lights, but not much left from the apache after that.

with the mid engine would you go with an air cooled vw engine with transaxle. or try to run a radiator up front and build some sweet v-8?

  27. ImageUploadedByTJJ1366389209.343202.jpg this is the idea for my falcon parts car. T bucket frame, take sheet metal from rear and front and put them together, make a grill similar in shape, put the 200 six with three speed trans and falcon rear in it, molded headlights, etc. figured why not since its going to be stripped out and has a bad unibody frame.

Had a similar plan for a 61 comet with falcon nose. I will post a pic after I am done moving.

I have a couple renderings I need to post. I'm really considering making one of these my next project.
