John Pavey's S/G Nova is one of the nicest cars in the country. It's sold now, right? Tom.

Great stuff Bowtie! This egg-shaped egg truck is cool, would make a neat camper.

  7. Without a doubt! Never found Garrett Morris to be very funny but the rest of the original cast was great...

WOW, must've been a wild ride! Looks like they backed it under a truck.

What a cool dude! RIP Johnny Hotrod. Thanks for sharing your family pics!

This picture will not blow up... Can you make it larger?

  21. I'm going to look up an up to date map of the base when I get to work monday and see where this is. I don't recognize the location at all. It may be on south, or north base. I wonder if the AFFTC Museum has this pic, or others for that matter in the archives. Cool stuff!!!

Not sure on this one - perhaps at the western side of Melbourne - heading out to Footscray, or down around Port Melbourne.....???
Dunno - don't care, but it brings back some very nice memories - thanks for posting.

A real oddity. A Baltimore & Ohio Pacific type carrying a Lima Locomotive builder's plate. According to Lima-the History and B & O Power, the B & O never bought a Lima locomotive of this type. Possibly a rebuild but The B & O were reknowned for doing that in their own shop. This one must have "dummied" up to carry Lima, OH's Soap Box Derby champion to the big All American event in Akron. Possibly the cosmetics were done in Lima'shop so they affixed a "Home grown" builder's plate to a locomotive built in Eddystone (Philadelphia) by Baldwin.

yeah the Robur building is kinda familiar ... so when did the Sandridge line come down, between the casino and Macca's?
and the one you left out is from the poor old Argus Building looking at what became Daimaru ...

I was working for NHRA at IRP at the time. I remember John Pavey. Sorry to hear he has passed.
