I just sold mine a few months ago to get a family cruiser. Hard to fit a carseat and all in a single cab.

the one i miss the most? the black-on-black 1963-1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 Sportsroof 2dr hardtop that i hauled out of a Virginia junkyard and rebuilt with a '68 390/C6.... or, maybe the '69 Dodge Coronet 2dr hardtop i bought for 150 bucks because it had a blown head gasket.... the first '62 Falcon Futura coupe i dragged out of ANOTHER junkyard for $250 and had running in the driveway the afternoon i got it home.... or the 1957 Dodge Coronet 500 hardtop that i swapped a '63 Chrysler 383 into.... maybe the worst one of all was the '60 Starliner i had.... but; i STILL have the scripts off the front fenders from her. add another roughly 180 cars to THAT....

  11. My high school ride, passed down from my great-grandfather, painted by my old man in the late 70's - '64 Chevy short-wide. 230 ran great - cab roof was rusted in two (literally), was too much for a college kid to fix so I let it go.

I have had sooooooo many cars but the one I think of the most was my third car that I had back in 68, it was a 63 1/2 Galaxie 500, 405 H/P 406 4-speed car, I wish I had it back..........the way it was when I had it.;)

The '62 Bubbletop Belair, I've mentioned in other threads is unquestionably #1.

    A neat little '64 Valiant Signet, factory 273/235, 4-spd w/factory Hurst is #2.

A '66 Nova 2drht 283/glide, that made it's way to Va. recently for a total resto. After sitting in my buddy's (who I sold it to) garage for 35yrs. His brother finally scored it from him. It'll be done right, and I'm glad to know it will survive.

  18. have owned over 200. at one time I had 27. but it seems like the ass kickers that I still lust for were among the first ten and the last five I've owned

A steel 40 willys coupe project that was an old 60s gasser. This was about 25+ years ago before they went to the moon. I'll try to find some pics.

I think my biggest problem is that I love all old cars and everytime I have one I sell it to get another one but I'm not sure what my ideal car would be. Maybe a 1960 Galaxie or Fairlane?

  26. 300+ How much time you got? That 38 Chevy delivery, that 37 Chevy delivery, that 41 Ford delivery, that 55 Buick, 58 Impala, 58 Pont Bonyville, 55 Chevy's, 56 wagons '72 2 wheel drive Jimmy, SS Nova...

There have been a couple hundred at least but one always stands out...'52 Roadmaster convertible, ran, drove, could've used paint but didn't need it, didn't need any bodywork, needed only the front seat bottom leather replaced...Had a lousy $500 in it!

  28. I would think most of us have suffered from a momentary lack of sanity and let a car get away from us,,,but very few of us have been lucky enough to rectify that mistake,,count me as one of the lucky few in the latter category!

    Then,,

    And now,,14 years later

I get that feeling almost every time I sell any car. :( But now I'm toying with the idea of selling my 41 Chevy, probably a bad idea.
