It's a Girl!

Discussion in 'New to the H.A.M.B.? Introduce yourself here!' started by CruzrJenn, Mar 15, 2013.

  1. Hi Jenn, and welcome from Lubbock.

When i was abt. 12 we had a pink and white '58 mercury montery 4 dr sedan, almost the same as your '57 but with even bigger bumpers ! I loved that car, the shocks were worn out and it rode like a land yacht on a rough sea. Lots of great memories.

Yours looks great, I'm sure you'll love it too.

The Cruiser does float like a plane when you get her going at about 60-65. It's amazing how well she runs for being a senior citizen! I'd been looking for about eight months for the perfect car and when I saw this one I kept laughing because she was such a unique monster. I hadn't ever seen any at our local shows. And no, those are not antennae, they are part of the "superior air flow-through system" haha!

Hi Jen, Welcome from Loretto, Ky. Love that shade of orchid, that shade of orchid is the perfect color for that year Mercury. Drive her wheels off and have fun doing it. Ray...

I've got a '57 Turnpike Cruiser also....less that 4000 of them were built, so it's a pretty rare very pretty car....It gets so dam much attention, as it should. Just look at the thing. And yes, Jenn, it's one of those cars that you just don't see at car shows.

Nice cruiser!! Love the colors. By the way, I grabbed MercuryTurnpikeCruiser.com which I'm going to develop to show off those that are left out there! I'll let you know when it launches :)

Really nice car. I've got a 30-40 minute commute each way, almost all highway, that something like that would be a ball to use for it. Someday, maybe...
