New to the forum/thread world. Always loved cars, trucks, most any motorized vehicle. Worked as a mechanic for the past 20 + years.I've had many unique hot rods and presently have a 1949 international KB2 pick up ,however not having much luck finding support for the beast.
Just some info for any 1940-49 International KB 1,2 truck owners. The truck I have only needed " the leaky rear wheel cylinders rebuilt" said the previous owner. Now after 1 new master cylinder,2 good stepped wheel cylinder cores from eBay i rebuilt, and after much research found that 1936-1948 ford cars had very similar wheel cylinders ( only mod was a slight angle for the brake line) and available at the Irish parts chain. $40 each. Hope this helps the next guy.
Welcome from the great white north..,,now lets see some pics of your binder. I see you had to search out wheel cylinders...there is scant little aftermarket for these old trucks. oldihc.org has a complete library for parts,,even part # to put front disc brakes on your stock spindles if you wish. my '41 K1
Welcome from Washington, I also have a Corn Binder in my fleet and its a 1949 Armored Car that I am just starting to retro fit a 1997 Cummins diesel and auto out of a 97 Dodge into it.
