These are pictures of my slides projected on a wall. Sorry for the poor quality. I just found a couple great pictures of Gard's coupe and posted them--they were not taken by me.

Very cool pics. Bobbed fenders, nerf bars, steelies and moon caps were sure commonplace in the 60's. Can't make out the tags for a location. What area/region of the country?

Buffalo, Niagara Falls, NY area. There is at least one car from Ontario there, too.

X2...pics don't lie....where the hell are all the thousands of highboys?.. ;)

Very cool to see any pics of such a rare event in the mid 60s. I know there were runs back then, but people rarely heard about them if you were not part of the club doing it.

Cool, that little Blue A roadster screams East Coast late 50's early 60's Hot Rod roadster. Straight out of the East coast little book rod mags from that era.

Thanks for posting. Any more please?
If you put a sticky dot over the middle of the projector lens, or a piece of tape, it will reduce the hot spot in the middle and will not cast a shadow (as long as it is not too large).

No rat rods or highboys? Maybe someone has been lying to us about how rodding was in the 60's.

Really cool stuff! Love the deuce of course.
I think you can take your slides to Wal-Mart and convert them to digital.

  16. Thanks. I bought a slide and film scanner to copy my negatives and a few slides to digital format. Goes pretty good, and helps maintain some resolution. Did it so I could do the same thing you're doing now. Post or email old pictures.

  19. The red 32' Ford belonged to Gard Miller. He built the car in 1955 when he was in his 20's. He was one of the founding members of the Rods & Customs of Buffalo in the late 70's. Gard passed away not too many years ago, still into the old cars with a 68' Mustang GT and a 34' Ford pickup. Thanks so much for these pictures. RIP Gard.

Just fantastic! Instamatic no doubt, so cool that there was even a camera in the crowd, let alone you still have the slides!

Thanks for going through the effort to show those pictures. Those are some great cars. Any of those would stand out at a rod run today.
