6 trips to the parts store and one stop by the SnapOn truck i finally got the new intake and carb on the Alternator and the brackets on headers with the gaskets on radiator in.
thanks ,i forgot you posted that. been following along but forget about the old posts. i just skip to last post to see whats been done.
Awesome thread. I've got to get off my ass and get my '54 on the road!! I've got some parts on the way and I'm shopping for an old POS with an engine and transmission to use. Been shopping big block trucks near the year of my truck so I can get spare parts for the truck while I'm at it. Cheaper than buying a good runner engine and if you can drive it, you know what you've got. I love how low you've got your car. I'm only going to drop mine a couple inches. I just don't think I could use it for a daily driver around here if it were that low! Great choices on the wheels, tires, steering wheel and about everything. Maybe in the next month or two I'll have enough progress on mine to post some pic's in a thread.
its all good i do the same thing to other post right on thanks! yeah this car will be my Daily driver the front will be alittle lower. im gonna change the front rims out to chrome wheels im hoping in the next few months or so i should be able to have it on the road witch reminds me i need to start on getting it registered now!
started makin up my brake lines today. Sorry on the lack of progress updates i came home from work one day and all my tools got stolen so been rebuying new tools
