I just switched to a edelbrock 4bbl from the original 2bbl setup on my 350 and am in need of advice on how to adjust the tv cable for this transmission. I know the transmission isn't the greatest, but I want the car on the road in the next couple days so a th350 isn't an option until the snow flies. Thanks in advance.

Another thing for when the snow flies...I changed out a dead TH 200 for a 350 long ago (Actually, I am surprised that your 200 still exists! Even when they were still in production, trans shops just tossed them and put in 350's!). If I remember correctly, the whole lump was a bolt-in swap, but I did find a neat little widget that cost like $3 that adapted the 200 cable directly to the 350. Just a little tube that installed in 30 seconds and made the end length and sleeve diameter right... saved some time and money.
Edelbrock has a part " TV cable geometry corrector" for use with 200, 700, 4l60 trans... Dave Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
1973 AND LATER See Figure 13 On these models the T.V. cable controls line pressure, shift points, shift feel, part throttle downshifts and detent downshifts. The T.V. cable operates the throttle valve lever and bracket assembly in the control valve. Stop the engine. Locate the TV cable adjuster near the carburetor. Depress and hold down the metal tab of the TV cable adjuster. Move the slider until it stops against the fitting. Release the adjuster tab. Turn the carburetor lever to the Full Throttle Stop position and release it. By turning the carburetor lever to the Full Throttle Stop, the TV cable will automatically adjust itself.
thanks for all the replies. I picked up the 8026 part and a buddy came by to help get it adjusted. No dice. Dropped the pan and there is metal shavings in the pan. The TH350 will be a priorty now.
