This is our first venture into the pre 60's vehicles we have built several others 60's and above

I saved it , it was literally in line to get crushed last Saturday morning and I bought it. Original paint , very solid car complete with motor and trans, needs front floor pans and a patch on the rear pans but all in all a very solid car !

Good save! Looks to be a solid car. It's hard to believe that someone would crush that.

Cool car! Looks like a black coupe with silver dash and white seats, what an awesome color combination. And with rear air too! Great save.

Looks like she's been neglected for quite a while...

Gonna cost a fortune to restore... but certainly worth the trouble

Did it come out of a salvage yard in the area? A year ago I got a '49 Caddy in Springdale that the owner was giving away because the county was building a road on his farm and the Caddy was in the way.

Lots of tin in that part of the country if one is willing to look.

I am glad you saved it.

Thanks man, I don't think so it appears to have been stored somewhere about 1/2 out of the weather ???? Have you found anyone around here that has Cadillac parts ?

Congrats on rescuing that Caddy - nice to see the crusher go hungry.
I see the OP went for A/C but didn't order power windows - probably figured he wasn't going to open them often anyway.
Are you going to patch the two "Jimmy Cagney air vents" in the trunk lid, or leave them for dramatic effect?

I kinda dig the vents, probably leave the outside mostly stock, its the interior , chassis, engine compartment and motor that will get all my love !

Here is one that I have seen a couple times at the King Pins events. Great looking Caddy. Good luck with yours.

An arm and a leg. Just kidding. Caddy parts don't have the same kind of market as Chevy and Ford parts do. You can guess pretty close on the Chevys and the Fords, but on the Caddys it seems the parts are either pretty inexpensive, or completely out of sight. There's not a bunch of demand, so its you versus one or two others most of the time and its not unusual for the demand to just be you. Cool car, great project, lots of luck.
