Hello all, i finally got a break in the weather and pull out my car for some more pics. I cut another 1/2 coil off of the front and she now sits 3-1/2" lower in the front and 3" in the rear (2 coils cut off factory springs in the front and 3" block in the rear). My new wheels and tires should be here this week. Anyways, heres the pics........ The last pic is my new logo design for my future shop........ M-
My sentiments exactly,,black, simple and understated,,,absolutely beautiful,,and I'm not even a Chevy guy! HRP
I don't know what your new wheels and tires are going to be, but they will have to go some to beat the fabulous look your 54 has now....
Nice!!! I don't know what engine is running under the hood, but that car like it sits with those wheels and tires and a wicked small block, perfect sleeper. Beautiful car.
That is one sweet Chevy!!! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only fan of a black car around here. I keep telling my wife that black isn't my favorite color but, until they come out with something darker it will have to do. Doc
Thank you all for the compliments, i am very proud of it. I have 670-15 Firestone champions coming with 3-1/4" ww. The wheels will be oem chevy chrome from wheel vintiques and spider caps. The 235 will stay in this car, but will come out soon for freshing up and mods. I don't want to modify this car too much because it is a documented 36,xxx mile car with a true back seat delete. I have the original bill of sale....... M-
I'll reserve comment until I see it with white walls,,I love them but I don't know if they will enhance the look or take away from it. HRP
The wheels and tires right now are factory 15x6 (i think 6) and 30 year old 670-15 goodyears. The wheels still have the original white stripe painted on them. M-
I have had a few people ask me how i removed the front coil springs so i could cut them. There a few methods that work, but i used the method that was in my 54' chevy manual. It worked great for me and only took about 2 hours........ M-
What MAKES your car so attractive is that its Different! I'd pick that beauty out of a mile long line of "Traditional" styled '53-'54's.....It's your car, but it would be sad to see you turn it into...."Yeah, another one of those"........Centurion9
