definitely a Saxon. love the cantilevered front axle. proves that suicide front ends are traditional.

A car, a boat, and 2 V8 engines. Ford flathead on the right but what is the one on the left? Is that a late 30s Cadillac or LaSalle?

  9. the car is cool, i have never seen one. what are they worth?

What is the boat? It looks like a dual cockpit, with the driver sitting at the rear, and on the left side, which dates it to 20s or early 30s? ..Steering wheel looks 20s.

..and the view looks like the whole V-bottom is missing? as I think that is the "cutwater" in the front, just going downwards, but no wood there?

I'll look around. Made from 13 to 22. Not too rare, lots were built.

  15. hard to tell anything from this angle. the picture does look weird with headlights and windshield looking crisp and clear and other areas looking hazy.
pomybloke do you have any more pictures?

Some of the SAXON roadsters were on wire wheels, they looked a bit sporty. I took this photo back in 1967 at the local car show.Bob

doesn't look hazey, looks like it's covered in dust. i was intrigued by the shaft sticking out of the left side flathead until i realized there's a steering gearbox sitting behind the engine block.

i can't understand the perpetual question of "what's it worth?" every time a car somebody's never seen pops up... it's worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. it's probably not a great car to build a rod out of, simply because it's built too light to handle much power, making it a nice old car and not much else. good for parades and such, not for power tours.

I bought 44 cars and one boat from the owner over the last 4 years, the latest 3 that were bought this week were a stunning 41 Cadillac convertible, a mint 35 3 window coupe and a show winning 27 lasalle, I am keeping the first two, but the lasalle will go on eBay!!!

Could not agree more all my auctions are no reserve, so it truely is worth what some one will pay for it.

I think the engine on the left would be worth a little more investigation. Not a Ford but looks like aftermarket heads. Cadillac?
