I don't think he did any work on the car. I think he bought it like that and just stored it in the hanger.

The body is a fuselage. There are 3 fuselages and a bunch of wings and one complete Cessna.

There is a 70's Lincoln Continental stored in there also.

I did some research on the seat I found. I looked up the drawing number and spec number and found this type of seat was used in a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk. That was the plane the Flying Tigers used. Cool  :D

    A professional quibble.

Airplanes are stored in HANGARS, not HANGERS, those are for coats.

    But hey, great find!!

Funny, I was thinking to myself a while ago "Where's Don been?"

Oh! He's still buying all the good toys!

Brought the Model A home today. Removed it from the Hangar where it has resided for the past 40 years. The previous owner had bought to make a Hot Rod and never got to it. Too many projects and now he's run out of time. He does have other cars and planes that has kept him occupied.

  8. Great to see it out of the hanger after all this time. Hopefully she gets some attention some day.
    Good luck.

That coupe looks like a bunch that I remember from my youth. Has that East Coast look to it. Good score, even if it isn't the 32 you thought it might be.

Good score and congratulations on making a deal. We are 'neighbors' and I'd helped you move it but by the looks of the photo you got good supervision.
You drive by every time you go to Albuquerque on I-40 and I expect you to start honking and waving now you know that.
The weather is warming up and the highway department is getting all the salt swept up off the roads.....we need to get together and go for a drive soon as I've got the bug bad, just a thought

Oh, and I'll bring a coat hangar in case we get locked out of the cars.
    (I learned something also)

Hey LJ I honked when I went by this morning but you didn't wave.
We need to plan a HAMBer cruise this spring/summer there are quite a few of us around. I think that the Owl Cafe cruise in begins tomorrow that be a place to start.

I thought I heard you honk but I just heard ahoooooo....
You were hauling so fast that I never heard the ...gahhh and you were out of sight by the time I waved.
Is the Owl tomorrow night? Thanks for the heads up. I just ask someone if the first time this season was tomorrow and they said they thought it started in May. I
I'll be there then if that is the case. I'll plan on taking the '29 with the Miller OHV banger. We can plan to plan a HAMBer gatherin-get-to gather and cruise

My crazy eyes at first glace were saying fully shrouded dragster.
I envision that fuselage backwards (as pictured), digger front axle/wheels, chopped cockpit, rear engined, low buck land speed car...

    Don,
I called the Owl as my buddy was insisting that the 1st cruise in wasn't until next month
They said next month, nothing tonight.
