My old has had this real Henry Ford roadster for while now. He bought it as a barn find, been sitting since 1958. To get it back on the road he put a 66 327 in it.

He then bought a running 53 flathead out of a F-5 dump truck....just in case.

    Today just in case happened...

Sell the sbc to the people who want to be like everyone else and get some vintage bling on that flatty.

Generally, people go with the Shit that works.

  10. I stuffed a 49 flattie in our 32 roadster and It's been on the road about 2.5 years. With a T5 it is a great set up! I'd do it again...

My hat's off to the person who takes out the SBC and puts in a flathead. If I could I would shake your hand, well done, my friend, well done!

It had 47 Olds tail lights when it was originally built. Im not sure where my dad got the tail lights that are on it now.

Pics of when he brought home.

A 327 is cool, but a flathead is cooler. Nice work

  21. I like it both ways........Sure wish I had the valve covers off the 327 for my 54 chev truck build.....

I really like the way the flatty looks in those open hood cars.
