I found this truck for sale on the net. It is pretty close to where I live I was wondering what it is worth. Owner says the engine is not stuck but hasnt run in years. What do you guys think would be a fare price for it?

Thanks for the response HRP. I think he is asking $3000 OBO. I thought that was way out of the ball park.

$3000 is nuts. Almost as bad as the guy locally wanting $10,000 for a AA pickup that is 80% complete but rusted out really bad and has not ran in over 50 years. It would be a tough restoration to bring the body back and who knows what all is wrong with it mechanicly. Some people want sentimental value on a pile that all that is left are the memories. Yea its hard to find old tin here in southeast Texas. To many steel salvage yards around here. If you do its usually rust. Most of the good stuff got hauled for junk.
People around here think its made of gold. Thanks for the response. Have a happy Easter.

  10. WS posts go for 100-300, cowls go for free-300, grill shells 50-100. I would not go over $300 total, the rest is scrap and you should have a start to a project for very little coin.

WOW! That is way out of line. Looks to be a 1925 or older T, regular car chassis with what may be a 26-27 cowl. That is a $500.00 item around here. Bob :)

  12. Well it is worth more to him than to most of us. All you're getting is a cowl. Good start if you want to build a C Cab.

$300 to $500?? Is the engine and trans, suspension, steering and rear axle totally worthless? I'd say closer to $1500 to $2000 would be fair. Check out the classifieds here and let me know what kind of truck can be had for $300 to $500.

  15. Yes, the rest of that stuff is pretty much scrap. Like the rest of us said, it is a cowl, grill shell and ws posts.

In that bad of condition it's just a parts car with not a lot of usable parts.

  19. It has a Ruckstell. That increases the value quite a bit. I'd give a grand for it and build a speedster
