Just thought I'd introduce myself and my ride. I'm new to forum and new to this whole scene. My name is Jim, I live in the Detroit area and have been around cars my whole life. In the past I've been into road racing (watercooled VWs and Renault Alliance/Encore). I also currently have a '64 Corvette basketcase project that I inherited from my mom last year. Anyway, this is what happens when the normal system of checks and balances between spouses breaks down. After a total impulse purchase, we are now the proud owners of a '49 Series 62 Cadillac Sedanette, which my wife has already named "Maybellene". It runs and drives (with some limitations) and just about everything is there. Short term plan is to get it mechanically sound enough to cruise around in. Long term = ????? -Jim Krom
Welcome Jim. Your Cadillac has a great look, mother nature did a good job. I'd like to see your Corvette if you have a picture, I own a 71.
Welcome - Love the shine on the paint. Good show to visit would be Sins if Steel at the beginning of June. Martyn
