Well, enough of the chop for a little while. Let's get back to the engine. It currently has a flat 6 that runs like a champ, but I have a nice flathead 8 that I have been working on for quite some time now. It is just about ready to go. The only thing I have left to do is put a T5 tranny behind it. I have gone back on forth on this several times, but I think a modern tranny is just what this car will need.

Here is a sneak peak, there will be more to follow. 49-51 ford block with a 4" merc crank, adjustable lifters, mild cam, offy heads, and will have an offy 2 or 3 duece intake on it very soon. It is rebuilt and ready for it's first fire real soon.

Well, here are some pictures of the chop all finish welded and in primer. The interior pieces are done and the vent windows are cut down.

I have been making alot of progress lately, I just don't have much to show. The 6 cylinder is pulled and my flathead 8 is ready to drop in. I have been gathering parts for the T5 swap. While I had the engine apart I had the "full flow" oil conversion completed and I will put a oil filter down on the frame rail somewhere to keep the engine bay clean. I hope to have this completed by New Years, but you all know how that goes.

Anyways, here are a few more profile pictures of the chop job

Thanks for the positive feedback. The flatty has a 4" crank, adjustable lifters, cam, offy heads, 2 deuce intake, and quite a few other goodies.

I think I finally decided on blue for the color. I am leaning towards HRF daytona blue pearl for now.

I will get some more pics up real soon once I get the flatty dropped in.

Like the chop,so many I've seen turn out looking like a chevy fastback top with a gun slot was grafted onto the ford body.Keep up the good work.

    Good Luck

Why the heck do all the pictures in my first two pages no longer appear?? This is annoying. If anybody has some ideas let me know.

The good news.......the flathead should breathe her first breath this weekend. I have been waiting on one part and it is finally in. I will get some video. Stay tuned.......

Are you using a photo hosting site like Photobucket or Flicker ??

If so, have you changed any settings.. or "organized" your photos recently ??

If you have, that is the problem. Whenever you organize the Main section on a host site, the "code or link" is broken and therefore the picture will not show up anymore. The only way to fix is edit your post with pictures that have the new code link.

I didn't change a thing! But I logged in and it looked like photobucket had changed their website enough to jack up my pictures. Either way, thanks for the help.

Pictures are Back! Hopefully a lot more to come this weekend.

  28. Love the chop. Looks just right.:)

  29. great chop, mine will start soon. one small thing I was concerned about. on page 1, you have a rear end pic and it appears your left, lowering block, seems to go side to side rather than front to back.???????????
