after searching a bit for a source for a set of 1959 Chevy headlight seals, i happened on a matreial that seens to be prefect for making some. it is a ~0.040 thick shower liner i found h=while picking up materials needed for a bathroom remodel. it sells for ~$6 per linear foot and comes 5 feet wide. made a pattern from a old manilla folder and then traced it to the seal material.
Just yesterday I used similar material to make gaskets to go between to rear panel and the tail light housings. I cut it with an exacto knife and smoothed any rough edges on a disk sander, worked great and saved $$$
yep, it went so well i think i will next make a set for the rear taillight housing to body seal. i always like it when something inexpensive does a joob job at solving a problem
