Ok well its been awhile since i been back on here, been crazy busy, change shop locations and im now in hayward ca. and havent touched the zephyr since but nows the time to start it up again, heres some pics of whats happened recently. Being that doors where wasted we have to completly rebuild them since i cant find any nice ones.

Not exactly traditional or old school but as im getting older im appreciating comfort and reliabilty, im sure ill get hammered for this but im installing a 1997 lincoln mark III 32 valve fuel injected motor.

well its been a little bit but i finally got to put more time into the zephyr and this time i chose to cut he roof down, i took out 4 inches from the A pillars making it a 3" vertical chop. i chose this amount because a 37-39 zephyr is 2" lower then the 40-41 roofs, so bascicly i end up being 1" lower then your standard 37-39 coupe. Heres some pics of the progress i made

Well its been awhile since ive been on here with updates but im gonna try to stay on top of it these days, heres some updated pics leaving off of the last post to todays progress.

first pic i made a wire form buck from sheet metal bent 90 degrees and made to the shape i wanted my sail panels to be. i then transfered that to the panel and made any adjustments and shaping to get the flow i wanted from the panel.

a few more pics of the metal finishing on the driverside chop top sail panel, ireally love the flow of the chop. its not to chopped and looks like it could have been a factory style roof for the car.

Very cool the lines really flow! The armature seems to be the way to go when fabricating new sail panels. There is a guy converting a 4 door to a 2 door utilizing a similar metmethod on the Hamb.
