Man.. If I could make the show, I would. Be sure to take lots and lots of pictures for us guys who can't make it.

Let me place an emphasis on the key word here; lots. ;)

    Hope everyone enjoys the show.

I was there today, it looks like only 3 1/2 buildings from what I saw. I'm glad I'm not paying $18 to see a bunch of cars I've seen over and over again.

Not as many cars there from Hot Rod as I thought there would be.....lot's of "filler" cars.

If you haven't seen these cars in person.....go!!! You'll enjoy it.

Anybody got pics of the show?

  11. I went yesterday - really enjoyed the show, so many cars from years past that we have long forgot about. BUT you better have an open mind because you will see everything from the Dick Flint Roadster to garbage like the Cheap Fast Chevette build where they stuck a big V8 in a clapped out Chevette and cut the hell out of the floor and firewall and never bothered to put any sheet metal back in.
Other cool cars like Dobertin's Blown AND Turbo'd Nova that reset many standards, CHEESE WHIZ, Early Little John Builds, two of the Stone Woods & Cook Willys, All the way up to stuff that is in the current issue - like Bruce Myers and his Myers Manx.
Well worth the twenty bucks in my opinion

    Thank You for the pics.

  17. there were 4 buildings full of Hot Rod's cars, local hot rods parked in between the buildings and the NHRA Museum which had the McMullen Roadster. They also have Ivo's and Grabouwski's roadsters and a few other cars from the pages of Hot Rod

i went and i thought it was pretty frickin epic. definitely a once in a lifetime deal where you'll be able to see all those cars together in one spot in the flesh... er, steel. seeing them in the mag is not comparable to seeing them right in front of you in person.

Hey Itownrodder, I was at the show and your Stude was about as nice as they get! Of course, as you can tell by my avatar, I'm a little partial to the Studies...But seriously, if I had to pick the best race car there, it would have been yours...Congrats on a great job putting this old quarter-miler back to its glory...Joe

  24. We went to the show and thought it was great. As we were walking around I was telling a friend about my old 34 that was sold just last September and we came around a corner and there it was ~ freaky coincidence
