  7. No improving the shape of a '55 Nomad. The clean quarters with the arched wheelwell is art.

Still working on the 283. It's a 66 block that I have converted to full roller setup. Nice 202 heads that have be port matched. Good aluminim edlebrock semi-hi rise intake with a 600cfm holley and a "rolling thunder" cam with some rumpty rump. Good 5 speed from Tremec (T600) and planning on a 383 set of gears with a posi. Should smok'm

Anyone from Chevrolet explain the reason for the change for the Nomad quarters? Just styling? Wonder what one would look like with the standard trim.

Heard of car about 20 years ago but location was a secret, was not able to see car until couple years ago when my buddy tripped over it by accident.Woman bought car new,I have bunch of neat original paperwork. She gave up driving car in 63 and car sat until late 80's when guy I bought car was able to buy the car,he knew about it and chased it since 1978 and he never did anything with it.I think he wanted it to be a father-son build but kid was not into car.Guy I got it from had gathered up 265 for it but it never happened.
