One of my favorite places on the planet, Mt. Washington. If you haven't been but get the chance, go!

DITTO! Thanks for the ID, guys. Man, I LOVE these Loewy coupes. Only problem I had was: If you're trying to park one in the city,
the lack of power steering makes it like manipulating a LOG WAGON around! :D LOL(Of course, I mean for the ones not ordered with power steering.)

TRUE stories like that make the HAMB what it is! LOL. :D Love it.

(Mostly, young people nowadays would give you the deer-in-the-headlights look if you even MENTIONED the tracks:rolleyes: -- which, in a lot of cities, stayed in place for years, until the streets needed a major repave job.)

I was just out in Las Vegas,at Shelby American, they have the first cobra on display. They said that Shelby turned down an offer of 23 million for the car .Just before he died.I read a car and driver story about 6 years ago how the car still had 3 original tires, motor, trans, rear, and interior.

Ha! I'm not touching this one with
a ten foot anything!! As far as the
'wheels turning in my head' and
    what I'm thinking specifically
    about "Camp Climax for Girls"
and the wondrous visit I'm taking
there in my mind right now....I'll
have you know that I only always
have the finest and highest class
of impure thoughts and that I
strive- always and mightily - and
    often, somewhat successfully too,
even -- to lift my mind up, out of
the gutter and keep it firmly, safely
and legally ensconced on the curb
    where it belongs!!!! :D:D:D

I hear that! A Brodie knob helps immensely. Just for the record the one in the picture is a C-body Coupe with B pillars. The Speedsters were all K body coupes with no pillars and the Speedster had extra chrome trim that went over the back of the roof. Many Speedsters and Presidents, but not all, had 3 tone paint jobs as well. There are also early and late 55's with trim differences in the 2 tone models. Early broke the paint along the bottom of the roof, late had the roof trunk and upper quarter panels the same color with a break below the rear side windows. The only passenger cars the 1955 224 V-8's were used in were early '55 Commanders. It continued a couple more years in trucks only. I got lucky, my Commander C-body is an early '55 but the 224 got replaced with a 289 4 Bbl. long, long ago. :D
