I think it was at the Dallas auto Rama I remember two different trucks. I want to say they had some Rat Rod garage painted on the side. My 2 cents
it actually sez "buzzin 1/2 dozen" on the side. and by no means is it a rat rod! it was built by rick mcmanus from macs ratz in red oak iowa.
No underhood shots, they never opened it. A lot of nice details but a little overdone for my tastes. It's running buddy
Both are really nice rods....first class! Lota planning and craftsmanship! I love these trucksters! My second project will be a COE version!
Interesting use of an aircraft vacuum venturi as a decoration on the hood next to the carbs. Too bad it's mounted backwards.
Greetings, Buzzin 1/2 Duzzin is my '39 Chev truck ..... If you still want more pics here's my email addresses & I'll send you some. Thanks for the feedback, Mark [email protected] [email protected]

Headlights are from a '30 Hudson Grill's from a '37 Hudson Terraplane Carbs are Zenith TIN-40's from a Porsche 911 T-Series ('71) Ford 300 six banger with a cam .... straight cut gears to come soon Thanks for the interest ..... for some reason the "insert image" feature is'nt working on my end, but I'll get you pics soon.
Right now it is at a rod shop in Las Vegas having a stroler motor installed. After it]s finished they will drive it back to Houston.
Hope nobody minds but there were a couple requests above, to which I added my own, so here's the pics from macsratz website. If they or the "officials" here want me to not do this, delete or let me know:
Thanks for installing pics of my truck ! .... and thanks again for the continued interest as she gets back in shape and back on the road where she belongs. I started this project with Rick at Mac's Ratz while I was in Kirkuk, Iraq in 2005 / 2006, where we instigated this project and a friendship which now has us like brothers. There were friends over there (Iraq) who really got into this project along with me, but didn't make it back to see it's completion ...... that alone is all the inspiration I need to get this truck on the road. The feed-back from so many people from all walks of life has been incredible over the years. "Buzz" is now in good hands and will be back better than ever, thanks to my son-in-law in Vegas (Keith Ta - you'll find him on YouTube), and I'll keep you posted on the progress. Thanks again for all your support !! Mark
The first time I saw this truck it was competing at a show in Houston. It won it's class, and it was there the next year in an honor spot for past winners. I admired it then and still do. Very few rat rods have creature comforts such as air conditioning.
