Floyd has been sitting on those cars for years. I used to go out to French Lake all the time when I was a kid. I still remember when the one pole barn had a bunch of Big Block Chevy engines one was a 3X2 427, some Hemi's, some very Hi Perf SB Chev 350's along with a few 302 Z/28 engines. We used to go out in the yard and scrounge around but you had to watch out for the horses as they were mean, those things would haul off and kick the crap out of cars. I am sure it's Floyd's kids who are selling those cars now. I may have to take my kid out there this year just to give him the Salvage yard experience. I hope all those horses are dead by now, LOL.

That tow rig is crazy from the looks of it with the top row just perched up there.

Just really interesting how crazy some people are.
But, maybe there are cables we can't see in the pics?

Forget small guessets. How about cross braces etc etc etc etc. How are the vehicles "chained down"?

This isnt Floyds collection of cars that are being sold, Skip Floyds son who now owns french lake auto parts bought these cars from a private collector in wisconsin and brought them all back to add to the yard in annondale.

ever since ive been going there ive never seen a horse there!

Its mike look a bit odd but its all chained down very good.

Wow! Thanks for posting. That´s some amazing stuff right there. I don´t even recall when I last saw a ´57 DeSoto Adventurer or an Eldorado Brougham. That´s a lot of cars whose kind You rarely see anywhere in any shape. Any other late ´50s GM´s...?

Sweet '55 Studebaker curved windshield Conestoga! It doesn't even rust in the front fenders where every other Stude rusts.

Man, I have dreams like this, but I always wake up to a big empty backyard! I love the 49-50 Chevy in the first set of pics, looks like someones long lost mild custom, and where else can you find all of those beautiful classic American cars, mixed with a Ferrari, a Pacer, and a some VWs! They are still out there folks, Love It!! Brian
