I've, always been a big fan of the style. I will be back to working on mine, as soon as life allows.

There was one at Hunnert pile up #10 built from a mid 60s tbird...anybody have pictures of it by chance? It was in bare metal at the time. I would like to see progress of it

I love the creativity that goes into these kinds of builds. Although there are a lot of train wrecks out there.

  7. I like the show rods, but I have to admit a lot of em fall short. Atomic Punk hit the mark for sure.

I think a lot of Gary C's renderings would make some pretty cool rides. I wish some talented folks would give one of them a shot.

Hopefully we get to see this finished one day. Classed as a radical Custom but certainly covers the one off, Frankenstein and home built.

    started as this

ended up as this (and about forty different versions prior!)

no sorry, im currently in Afghanistan and all the pictures i have are on my home computer and not my laptop. its a 1970 karman ghia, with 59 caddy rer quarters. i also removed the unibody element and put it on a tube chassis i built, then mounted a chevy vortec engine and 4bl carb in the back seat to make a mid engine ride.

  12. Cool profile on this one, but be careful, it's starting to get that Barris "everycar" feel.

On a donor similar type build as the aluminum bodied corvette thread .
Been scouting a suitable platform donor and I don't care if I have to start on a Honda lol

I saw this car back in the 70s in Indiana, I loved it then and can appreciate it even more now. Is it still on the road? Dave used to drive the hell out of that car.:eek:

    Is Dave on the HAMB?

  25. They should have their own unique classification, Odd Rods would certainly be apropriate. Some are definitely cool.
    Heres a few more.
