Ya know, even though I am strictly a Ford guy, and have several friends who own 57's, it's just hard to imagine the 50's without them. Couldn't imagine car styles today without them.

My very first 57 that I owned in 1968. Sold it like many other guys to go to Vietnam. Had a 283, corvette solid lifter cam, vertex magneto, T-10 4 speed and 4.88 gears with posi. Sold it for $1200. in Feb. 69.

My current one is still under construction

57belair I am always in awe of your car! What a work of art! You were my motivation to add a 57 Buick grill to my 57 chevy.

Man I usually hate painted bumpers on cars , but youve made it work on this car! Good job!

seen this thread, thought i would add mine. owned the 57 since 85 , finished it for the 3rd time in08. took it to the hamb drags, and soon became hooked on a 32 hot rod in the parking lot. thought i just had to try and build one , here is my 31 project after one year. I just love this sport

A shot of our old one. Sold it to a friend a couple of years ago and he still has it.

    Hi,
My first car was a 57 in 1974, I think I paid $350 for it. Current one was bought about 10 years ago and the build kind of stalled in my garage. However I have renewed my commitment lately and have started visiting the garage 3 or 4 times per week to finish up.

It only took me this long to get it in paint:

Wish it was a "finished" pic, but where would the fun be in that?

Let the drool begin!!! Lol. Here's our 150 Inca Silver Imperial Ivory 2 dr. It has a 327 with correct dual 4 setup from a 57. There is an FI example somewhere, maybe someone will chime in and let us know??

I owned a '57 150 sedan in 1960...won a lot of street races with it...and you can read about that in my first book (Bangin' Gears & Bustin' Heads), now on Kindle. Over the years, I owned 30 of 'em -all at once...used to buy four-doors for $50.00 or $75.00 bucks and tear 'em apart...spare parts...!!!

Here's one of mine in 1970...after some loser made a left turn where there wasn't one...cost me a ticket, the insurance company and the repair on the '57.

  26. The light blue has been a dedicated race car since 1965 and was the Super Chevy Shoot-out winner at Orange County in '80 and '81 with a 409/425.

The two-tone 150 is a current project that is stalled. This thread is motivating me to get back at it.
