Projects Looking for the SoWhat/Clark Truck Arm Rear Suspension Tech

  6. Yeah, I bought the extra arms he made, now I'm trying to figure out what to use for springs... I suppose c10 coils would work.

    I modified the rear suspension on my T. I had a problem with the air bags chaffing on the frame rails so I went to coil springs. We made the buckets to sit on the round mounting plate you can see in the above photo where the air bags are located. We made the upper mounting cups and affixed them to the top air bag mounting point. We used springs from a 1974 4 cylinder Mercury Linx. We took a total of 3 wraps off the spring to make it a 11 inch high spring. We used 1/4 inch rubber in the top and bottom cup to stop and metal to metal squeaking.
    I have a lot of detail shots of this if you are interested. This worked out great

    this is great thanks, this is how i plan to set mine up. hows the ride? any idea of the spring rate?
