wow this is the best thread yet it took me almost two day's to read it all im impressed with everyones input im trying to build a 40's period correct roadster for almost 3 years now and just got more motivation thanks everyone!!
Very refreshing to see an A sedan not dragging the ground like the homemade body mounts broke after a poor channeling job! Looks like you are off to a real nice ride there, keep us updated with progress.
Just gone throu the hole thread, what a great thread. The 40´s is my favorit time when it comes to Hotrods...
Yes, I won the bidding on these pics above. I was really hoping to get the channelled '31 roadster pics but missed out, that thing was channelled perfection!
That is the one, such a great proportioned roadster, I am always a sucker for anything channelled. The bumper is a little quirky and a little heavy visually. I have the parts to build a rolling chassis and I may build a similar roadster in the future.
Looks like its got a set of those wacky whitewall spats too. I love the quirkiness of old hot rods even if its not the most visually appealing. Can you tell what the tail lights are from? Its kind of a blurry picture from behind. They kinda look like '41 chev but the bezels look too thin. JohnnyA
I went through the entire thread over the past two days. The amount of inspiration found here can't be measured.
Took out my roadster for my first spring trip... brrr... cold with that snow and ice on the side of the road...
Keepin it alive....my '29 in the Garage..... <a href="http://s614.photobucket.com/user/hotrd32/media/29-Garage-b-w_zps65a5c777.jpg.html" target="_blank"></a>
Some times words are just not enough, am just starting my 32 build and was looking to the forties for inspiration and came to this thread and then to this, WOW stunning
