Very cool I'll be keeping an eye on this as we move south this summer

 

Teresa's is closed on sundays now. Sammy said not enough business to open.They have the best Italian Steak in K.C. tho.

They only open at 10:00 AM, and aren't open on Sundays, but check the place out - it's an old-school burger joint with a HUGE parking lot, maybe a mile down 23rd Street from I-435 in Independence. By waiting a few hours, you get home made onion rings and giant tenderloins good enough to make you reconsider turning a "breakfast" into a "brunch"!

 

How about ROSIES CAFE on 40 hiway..across the street from coolcrest. It would be a good central location for Independence, Kc, and Raytown folks...

 

What about Swagger 85th & Wornall, or Mama's on Southwest Trafficway or the Cook Shack 89th & Wornall?

 

Deal me in, working this weekend but name the place and I'll catch ya on the next one. Stacks' is the old Clems Drive In, hadn't been there since the new owners though.

 

Hope to have the 42 on the road this summer. Count me in.

 

Is Mamas still open I thought Ira shut it down.Years ago I worked for a guy and we did a lot of work for Ira and Jan(Mama) befor they moved Mamas from Bell st.

I like the Grinders idea... They serve brunch... And is a kick ass place in the downtown art district! If lunch was an option Wabash bbq in excelsior springs is an awesome choice and has a big lot for lots of cars

Sundays?

 

Yep, Sunday's a go - at Grinders. We should have all the room we need over there. They'll even make room for us next door if we get too many people - and from what it looks like, we might have a bunch tomorrow... We've had so many people calling the count's lost, so we'll see.

 

Looks to be a hell of a turnout, in the morning, friends...

I've already lost track of all the names, from so many calls, tonight; "Radical" Ray Erickson said he'll be out, Lester "Looster" Lyons, John "Tiny" McTaggart is gonna try, Steve Pierce, etc - some of the best bike and car builders that ever were. Gettin' more calls all the time. Looks like even my Pops, "Wild Child" Sr., is askin' for me to help him to come out for this one.

Gotta feelin' this isn't going to be one to miss.

I had the chance to attend Donut Derelicts one Sat morning in sunny Huntington Beach, CA. Needless to say, it was awesome and have thought about it ever since. I encourage you to attend if you are ever in that area.

Are they on the up-and-up? I can't seem to find anything bad about 'em! I saw their ad on Craigslist wanting to trade paint & Body for other cars, and an trying to work out a deal (as I have for years) to trade all the stuff in my 318 Poly ad in the HAMB classifieds for paint & body on my '60 Cadillac.

I guess Joe Vargas has been around for like 35 years! Anybody have any feedback?

Eggcetra is a no go on Sunday mornings with the church next door...zero parking

Grinders would be bad-ass. Weather permitting, the picnic tables out back would be perfect. There's a parking lot across the street which is usually pretty open on Sun mornings.

The Record Bar in Westport does brunch, and it has a monster parking lot.

 

Most stuff I use to see from them was lowrider stuff I have nothing good or bad to say if you want your car juiced a guy I would have do it is Jamie Shelly he knows his shit and is a good guy.

I would be interested in this too. I normally have breakfast with my daughter on Sundays anyway, and she loves any excuse to get out in my old Fury.
