I love these things. I have been looking at a 59 Desoto 2dr that the only thing good on it is from the rear of the door jamb back. Call me crazy but I think it would be neat as a bucket type car. I think they should be called Odd Rods, I have been thinking about these for years. Here is a quick drawing I did useing a 59 Chevy. Not the best of renderings but you get the point.

What car rear is in the middle pic? Looks familiar but just can't place it.

I agree with you, it's got alot of things that are working. If I bought it, I'd do this mod.

I need to find the magazine, but I have a n early 60s r&c (I think it was) that had a few of these. It's not really a new idea of using a shell from a full size, it's just something that died out till Grotes did it (which with the quality of his builds its no wonder its such a popular idea) I would say the atomic punk is the best example ever IMO.

This one was posted a while ago, new owner was looking for a history on it. Built in the late 60's, the "Cad T".

I have fenders from 55-59 chevy pickups and hoods and doors, etc... and a '46 GMC cab. Been think for a while about how to build one of these out of those parts.

  14. Can some one please post a picture of that neat little show rod that Little Mick from Koolsville in Brisbane built a couple of years ago. It was featured in Cruzin magazine and it was kool as. I cant seem to finda pic of it anywhere even on googirl. This would suit this thread perfectly. -H.R.D.-

Now, try some constructive criticism of some of the prior cars posted. A change here, a reshape there. Another words post up something good natured.

Most of these Roth style cars show pretty neat creativity, don't need bubbles neccessarily, but open wheels and motors help with the concept. Has the makings of a cool thread if there are enough of them out there.

I was hoping we'd see a lot more of the cars that are created out of full size car fenders and quarter/taillight sections. There are some pretty cool creations out there.
