Hah! I remember stripping those recesses in the back of the cab well, "sucked" that's how I remember it.
Good to see you making some progress

    It's the most important part.

Nice truck build. Good to see so many Fleetsides on here. Great inspiration even though mine is a LB.

I got a little work done on the doors. installed the lower hinge pocket and new door bottom. turned out pretty good.

Out of curiosity what did you end up using for your gas pedal? Im trying to get some ideas. Your truck is looking sharp.

I ended up with one from a 71 corvette that I modified to work, and a Lokar cable set-up. Thanks for the kind words.

well the doors are primed and blocked once. ready to re-prime and block again. then will hange them and post more pics. body work is a pain to me, but I want a nice paint job, so it's necessary. it should be worth it on the finish product.
been reading all the thread about this body style, and getting some good tips. thanks guys.

Did it turn out well? Any issues with it not taking off rust? That's the only thing I heard negative about that process.

How is the truck coming along? What are you going to do for a rear bumper. I am looking for ideas.

not real sure yet. I have a guy that wants to buy it for a lot of $$$s. if I sell it, I will keep mtr, trans, fleetside bed and maybe front sheet metal. if this goes thru, i'm gonna be looking for another project. I was thinking about a roll pan for the back. it's all up on the air right now. how is yours coming along?

Getting the final pieces before assembly. Just want to figure out the rear bumper and the fuel tank. If I decide to go with my LT1 I need an EFI pump, etc. Not the hamb friendly induction but I may out the carbed 350 into something else. So, I guess I am trying to decide on the engine too.

Looks like your truck has tinted glass too. I have a friend who is into '58 Chevys and he is just going nuts that mine has tinted glass. It's kind of a cool option.

Anyway, hope all goes well whichever way you end up going and that you get repaid for all the work you have already done.
