    Wow you sure are a talented metal shaper!!!!!!!!! I just bought a 39 ford standard coupe that's in similar condition, your build is very inspiring to say the least.

    I was going to use solonoids and micro switches to operate the internal door handles,but if the alternater stopped working and battery went flat i would not be able to get out,so i have used accelerator cables bought on ebay to opperate the handles [​IMG]

    I used a GMH roof to make a door skin and had to wheel it up a bit more ,this was before Christmas

    Made up some side panels and used 1/4 windows from a 39 sedan ,the sides are the second attempt[​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    Had an accident in my tow truck in Jan.and been off work with two crushed vertebrea so limited to what i can do ,darned my sox ,sharpened all the neighbours drill bits,sharpened 15 hand saws then started making brackets for the rod,much to HAM BERS disgust.Started with some ally from the scrappy

    When we were building the 40 I straightened the deck lid and the front fenders some and thought I'd done something. This is an outstanding thread.

    CnC machine in my workshop means cut n curse.Then out with the wood router and round the edges off

    I did not have any window reveils so had to modify some dodge sedan ones.

    Made these panels to support the trim in the rear.

    Made the rear seat riser

    I also used a seat which needed the floor for support as the base is mainly foam
