    J.C.Leyendecker,Frank Godwin,Reynold Brown,on and on....
    Mostly known for other work,but they all did produce automotive illustration.

    I predict that Norwell fella will have a bright future too!

  6. I saw Grundy's stuff at Viva last year....damn cool. The guy from bomonster.com is way cool, too. He works on scratchboard...I played with that stuff in art class and couldn't make it work.

    How about doing it in house? grab paper pencil and some beers and go nuts!

    Random idea; find a design student, load them up pics of stuff you like, some direction and a box or two of beers or a few bucks. These are the kind of projects some kid out there is dreaming of doing; i know I was when I was a student.

    Only one problem it's tricky to get them as low as he draws em'.

    ART... including illustrative and commercial art...
    is subjective. There is no wrong or best answer.
    It is awesome to see the wide variety of strong opinions.
    I am still weaving through learning, some of the new (to me) talent.

    Yes sir it is. This piece was done by Beatnik Dennis McPhail (here on the HAMB) has a great portfolio of work.

    Favorite? Would be K Weesner …. A close second is Norwell .. The changeups in styles he pull off is fuckin amazing.
