....That's good news, hopefully a happy ending. Like everyone else, I just don't understand why it was left there for so long.
Glad it's being recovered.... Bait cars aren't A's,and far from it. Don't ask me how I know.....and not"that don't ask me".
Theres got to be more. Someone would have had to pry me away from something like thay if it broke down. Hope the owner is ok.
Yeah, like he was spirited away against his wishes and is incommunicado... not that I'd know what that felt like... Cops always make sure the car is secure before they take you away. Bob
My fear was more along the lines of medical reason. Maybe ambulance ride and hadnt been able to notify anyone.
I went on the car club web site and after doing multiple white page searches, I finally found a member with his number listed. I called and his wife answered. I asked for Jerry and she told me he was on the way to pick up a club members car from the highway!?! WTF!! Seriously... That's why there is a word for it: Synchronicity. The cars owner called him because he has a trailer, and asked for help picking up the car. So... Jerry hooked the trailer and went to pick up the car thinking the owner would meet him to help. The guy never shows up and now Jerry can't reach him. Jerry put the car in his barn for now. Very strange. Thanks to all who offered cautious advise. Jerry and I would have shown at the same time with trailers. It would go something like this, "Who are you?" "Who am I?, who the fuck are you" and so on
what a strange tale. i anxiously await an explanation. but i suppose it won't be nearly as dramatic as my imagination might devise...
I'd hope not, but plausible. Whoever owned it is lucky people were watching out for him, unconditionally. Bob
He stopped, checked on the car and then followed up on contacting the car owner's club member. I'd say that was helping.
This is a very wild story and I sure would like to find out what was going on.....Three days setting there with the windows down,,,,,
I never saw it, but from the pic it looks like it was on the southbound side of 101, between Morgan Hill, and Highway 85.
Good knowledge. Exactly where it was. Just north of Ryan's favorite street. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
If this was directed at me, I didn't stop because I was in the fast lane with my two toddlers and there was no one in the A, so there wasn't much I could do short of putting my own kids in potential danger by parking our car on the side of the road. Sorry, but I've seen the stories of soccer moms not paying attention and plowing into parked cars one too many times. Plus, as I think others in the area will attest to, there isn't an easy way to turn around on that stretch of highway. I was hoping that this thread would help identify the owner, which it did. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
There is no way I would leave my car on the side of the road alone for a minute much less a few days . WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN, you gotta be kidding me. Somethings up with this deal. I hope the owner is well.
strange story, but this is a great example of hot rodders and hambers looking out for one-another. you won't find this camaraderie often anymore.
Somethin' ain't right here. Who would leave their rod on the side of a major highway for three days with the windows down? There has to be a lot more to this story. I'm glad you guys were looking out for the owner though.
If one of my cars were on the side of the road for three days, you know something bad happened to me. I'm assuming like some of you it was medical reasons.
