so pulled the valve cover today and found out why it was smoking and was able to fix it in. so in my original post i said i had heard a lifter tick, and had top the oil off and it went away. well come to find out that the lifter tick went away because i rocker has gotten lose some how and had fallen off the valve. so i best i can figure is that every intake stroke because the intake valve could not open now it was sucking oil past the rings. well i tightened the lifter and she dose not smoke any more. thanks every body for the help and ideas!!

  5. I've bought more than one car that the owner though the engine was toast and it turned out to be a busted rocker arm. Good find!
