Took a day to build the rear sheet metal for the air compressor and battery. My plan for the car is to build a full polished aluminum interior and floor mixed with some leather on the bench seat, got my hands on a couple thousand copper pop rivets which is a nice accent to the aluminum.

Though the back tray doesn't look like much it took all day to make the pieces, drill the holes and rivet together. I'm really happy with the look but am kinda dreading the amount of work the interior is going to be after doing such a small section. Basically I have the back tray wrapped up, just need to polish it all. I'll be wrapping up the brake lines and bleeding the brakes and tagging down the air lines this week and putting the body back on, the firewall is completed and ready for paint.

 

Damb dude good work. Im doin all alum interior as well. Cant afford the leather

I am so behind where I want to be on this build but managed to wrap up the chassis and get all the brake lines done and brakes bled this weekend, air lines are also finished, also got the last bits for my engine so wrapped that up as well. Transmission linkage is done and set and the firewall work is completed and am basically ready to throw the body back on and start the flooring. Hopefully if help pulls through I will have it back on the chassis this weekend and moving forward. Once I build the headers and modify the rad I can finally fire up that brand new 354!

Needed to make a set of inner quarters for the A, I have a new repop original set but didn't want to cut them up for the channel so decided to make a set on the bead roller.

Body back on, now I can start on the floor skeleton and sheet metal.

Just ran across your build thread here on the Hamb and saw your old '29 Tudor on page one. I said " I know that car". Just earlier in the day I saw your old '29 Tudor is for sale in Fort Mac, saw it on Kijiji. What a coincidence.

Move your alternator down under off the drive shaft

That would be my choice but I'm guessing even there is tight for room.
Look at a Kubota tractor or forklift or similar mini alternator.

 

It's tight everywhere in this car, the alternator will have to stay where it is. It's not my first choice either.
