What lubricant should I run in a 9" Ford differential?

    The rear end came out of a Taurus and is not positraction. There are too many lubricants to choose from, figured I'd ask the HAMB world. Thanks for any help.

    80-90w differential lube. I use, and like Royal Purple.

    90 weight is fine, Vavoline among others has it in quarts with a pouring tip so its easy to get it in.

    I thought they were front wheel drive. :confused:

    Front wheel drive was my first thought too, and definitely not a 9" ring gear.

  13. Real Ford 9-inch use good old 90 weight gear oil, use the additive stuff for limited slip if you need it.
