A trip to my local "Honey Hole" lotsa pics

Here in my little small town we are lucky enough to have a great man among us. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever have the privledge of meeting. He is an old hot rodder that would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. Some of you guys from the central Texas area may have heard of him. His name is John Treeter, and he owns an old paint and body shop / junk yard.
Well, yesterday I had some free time, and went out to pay him a visit, but this time I brought my camera. Unfortunatly he wasnt there. After talking to him on the phone, he gave me permission to wander the place and take all the pics I wanted. Figured i would share a few of them

What a pile!!! Hope He's not inundated with people wanting to "lighten his load" The roadster pickup would be really cool to have. Thanks for sharing.

I figured this was the wrong site for those pics. lol

And as far as I know, they are ALL for sale. I have bought a 48 chexy truck and a 64 volkswagen from him over the past few years. I also introduced him to a buddy of mine that bought a model a sedan from him as well.

 

ack! i need the tail lights and rt 1/4 panel off that 63 valiant wagon!

 

Thanks for taking time to do this and show some pics., and thanks especially to Mr. Treeter for not only saving this stuff, but for being willing to part with it. Rare these days to come across a stash of this size that is available to those that can use the stuff! Hats off to you both!

We spent half a day up there 3 years ago, great guy..get there before summer when it turns into rattlesnake central

 

True story. Snakes are BAD out there.

 

I love going out there. I figured if I can help out a fellow Hamb member find something and help Mr. Treeter sell some stuff, it would be a win / win for all involved. Its the least I can do for as much help as he has given me over the years.

I can remember when I got my first truck back in high school, he would let me use his shop as if were my own, and was always willing to lend a hand or give me advice.

 

blows my mind when people let this stuff rot into the ground. i would give it all away years ago before i would do this to it.

 

Not workin for me but its a good story.

almost wish i could go on a road trip right now.

 

There is some good stuff there for sure. Man that Texas sun is a killer, almost every car or truck has no paint left.
