Wow. I haven't seen this one.. Hopefully more pops up about it!

  3. Man, that thing is nice.

I usually don't like chopped '40 coupes, but the "hardtop" conversion looks outstanding.

  4. We're talking 40 Merc here aren't we? Looks good!!!

Looks like a '40 Merc. to me. I did own one about 50 years ago, the rear of the top tells
the whole story. Great looking custom , I'd love to see more pix of this one.

Wow!!! I like the chop and the flow of the rear window! Also, finally a custom with hubcaps. See, that's traditional.

    If it's a merc, would't this one also be a 39?;)

Thanks alot everybody.....I would love some build pics if anybody knows of any.

Rudys car is very nice, but I think the radical top makes the lower half of the car out of proportion.....needs a section.

Looks like it got painted blue and sold here somewhat recently. I seen it driving around town here and there. I think Manhugo'sMyBitch is the one who owned it.

  20. if that is the same car, in my opinion, he should have left it black but he did take the goofy spot lights off.

  21. I don't think that is the same car. Hard to tell from the pictures but the chop on the blue car does not look nearly as well executed.

Edit: Looks much better in AdrianS's avatar must be the angle of the picture makes the rear quarter window look strange.

the blue one is not the same. If you look at the blue one, it slopes down REAL hard in the back. Almost to much.

    My two=cents

I don't think the blue one is same car....

the top on tha' blue boy is more radical in rear...............the black car has "good" flow.

i like it with the fender skirts off.

  29. I hate Mercs without skirts...well,lets just say...I like them better WITH skirts.

  30. Not missing much,haha....mine just looks good in pictures. But,thanks anyways. Almost traded mine for a '39 Merc, before I flamed it. I backed out...Sometimes when I see a nice one,I wish I would have traded.
