  3. Those t/lite lenses are amazing, Greg. That's really nice work, but you don't need me to tell you that. Congrats!

Heck of an improvement in your Merc, Pro Stock John. I have an extra set of those 53 Chrysler/Desoto tail lights if someone has an interest.

They are pretty tall, my dream has been to use the 56 packard tail lights so I am going with those. Before I found the 56 packards I chose these because I had never seen anyone use them either. I have had them up for sale on the HAMB but no bites.

You're probably looking for something more radical, but this is just a simple mod. 1951 Lincoln lenses modified to fit 51 Merc bezels. Blue dots fit into reflector holes, plus I added sockets and bulbs to the blue dots. I also added sockets and dedicated brake lights inside the housing.

Nice idea looks good! I have a set of the 51 Lincoln lights, the bezels are nice so I never would have considered that!

These 49 and 50 Lincoln tail lights frenched into 51 Merc fenders look nice. You can also french them with the chrome bezels but then they look too large with the bigger diameter.

    Hi !
Taillights not so commonly used on -51 Mercs , -50-51 Chrysler taillights , -53-54 Pontiac stationwagon taillights . The Chrysler taillights were used on Freddy Rowe Merc and the Pontiac taillights were used on a Bob Lunds Merc convertible with -51 baby Lincoln bumper , very tasty !

Good stuff, Tinwolf...if I had a '51 Merc I would do the '53 Pontiac wagon tail lights for sure. Here's a set I did on a customer's '51 Merc- cut down '54 Merc.

'53 Pontiac station wagon tail lights are as rare as hens teeth.

Nice job on the cut down 54's Senor Shoebox; looks nice; I like the 53 Pontiac hens teeth too !

  22. That looks real good. I've been thinking of going that route on my Merc. I love those lenses and think they look way better that the stock Merc. ones. The blue dot treatment is nice too.

Are those the reproduction lenses that are always on Ebay? How much modifying had to be done to the lens?
