Got this one for $300 , 52 4 Door. When my buddy FINALLY gets his Model A truck legal we are gonna tear into it. It will be gasser style with a 389 Pontiac, should be a fun project.:)

I've got an Austin Devon, imported to the UK in 2010 from Washington DC.

It's a left hand drive and has a 350 chevy and Thompson's garages front axle. I am hoping to make it look like a Gasser from around 1961, which is the year I was born.

check out www.checkereddemon.co.uk for all the details.

Love A40's We have done up A35's and A90s etc here, but I don't think I have tinkered on one of those. I should rectify that

Nearly. A couple weeks ago, spotted an ad for an A40 pickup with a 4 door parts car for $750. Needing another project like a hole in the head, I ignored it. For about 5 hours. But, I couldn't get it outa my head, so I looked again, the ad was gonzo. Probably for the best, I like sleeping inside.

That is a great looking ride Gasserman, think you got the stance spot on.
First drive should get your attention.
    What size are the carbs?

The carbs are 850 double pumpers. I still think they are a little big ,but the gentleman who build the blower & manifold says no. His quote is "it doesn`t care it`s a blower motor."

Gasserman, looking good, but I see you have got the dreaded Austin door handle droop ! the fix is easy just take the handle off and twist the shaft in a vise till it hangs straight, this will take up slack in the lock, they even came fron the factory with droop like this !

I like your Austin PU. I have one gasser style with Chevy running gear. I want to build the second one with a early Hemi ( no leg room } What front end setup do you have? Is it a production unit? Jim
